Description
The revelation of being in right-standing with the Living God revolutionises every aspect of our being. The boldness to approach the throne of God, the release from worldly intimidations and fears, the understanding of Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice and our identification with His death, and His resurrection, all come to life as we study the fruit of Jesus’ death and present day ministry at the right hand of God the Father.
Students will appreciate the difference between being “declared” righteous and “made” righteous. A close look at the book of Romans will reveal the importance of the Pauline revelation in this area, as understanding comes forth that right-standing with God is something that has been deposited to our account before God, not based on our behaviour, but on Christ’s behaviour and our faith in His Work.
