Making Spiritual Progress

God helps us make spiritual progress, as we allow His Holy Spirit to use our trials and life’s circumstances to mould us into GOD’S image.

I often have prayed this verse ahead of spiritual challenges, but lately, I feel to encourage myself and others to pray this verse during conflicts to keep me strong:

Habakkkuk 3:19 (Amplified): The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!

2 Cor 3:18 (Amplified) And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.

Let’s always trust God is with us no matter what – let’s be GOD inside minded; and not cry out in desperation, thinking God is far away, whenever we face a challenge.  As Born-Again people – God is already living in us.

Let’s THINK RIGHT and keep our minds fixed on good things.

Philippians 4:6-8 (New King James Version): Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God always leads us in victory – so we NEVER give up until we have victory!  As Born-Again believers we are children of God and on earth for a purpose. You might be in a dark place but God does not see things as hopeless. God turns impossible situations around. So, we trust in Him, and GOD always leads us to victory. Some trials come so we can learn to bring victory.

2 Corinthians 2:14 (Amplified): But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory].

Endure until you see the victory – all of us have things we’ve been waiting for which haven’t happened yet, but we’re not to become fixated on our natural circumstances, we are to continue feeding on supernatural manna by seeking the Lord and growing spiritually during the wait. We must give the Holy Spirit His rightful place in our lives and allow Him to lead us. God has a plan and it is within His power to turn things around, but we have to do things His way and not what our heads tell us to do. God has called us to endure and to be over-comers. We are destined for victory if we remain in God!

Revelation 12: 3 (Amplified translation): He who overcomes (is victorious), I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of My God, he shall never be put out of it or go out of it.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Every trial we go through comes with some level of suffering, but it’s from that suffering that we learn. Sometimes our close friends may abandon us, but God wants us to come to Him knowing that He will never abandon us. We look to Jesus as our example of how to deal with suffering.

Hebrews 12: 2 (Amplified): Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Don’t allow life’s challenges to drag you down, especially if you are looking for a new home or base – tell your soul like DEBORAH did to march on in strength (Judges 5:21) and know that God always leads His people to peaceable habitations!

Stay blessed
